IPL Permanent Hair Reduction

Pulsar's IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) machine has now come to Revival Beauty Salon offering clients permanent hair reduction. Pulsar is one of the leading systems in IPL which works by delivering safe bursts of light that are absorbed by the melanin (pigment) in the hair. When this happens the follicle is destroyed from the root with minimum discomfort to the client. The procedure quickly and efficiently eliminates hair from all parts of the body and face and is suitable for most hair and skin types. Benefits of this clinically proven system include; it is cost effective, safe, virtually pain free and quick. Additionally it is non invasive and large areas may be treated at one time.

Pulsar IPL also offers the perfect solution to broken facial veins. The light is absorbed into the targeted blood vessels causing them to coagulate and break down. There is little or no down time making it the perfect treatment to have in a lunch hour.

IPL Red Thread and Spider Veins
Pulsar IPL offers the perfect solution to broken facial veins. The light is absorbed into the targeted blood vessels causing them to coagulate and break down. There is little or no down time making it the perfect treatment to have in a lunch hour. Help Your Skin - Drink 6-8 glasses of water per day. Keep your body thermostat cool, sip cool drinks and do not have excessively hot baths. Avoid stimulants, alcohol, spicy foods, caffeine and cigarettes. It is vital to wear a sun block with an SPF of 30 or apply a product with zinc or titanium oxide to protect the skin.

Frequently asked questions:

Can I wax inbetween treatments?
No. It is important not to wax inbetween treatments. The reason for this is to ensure as many follicles as possible contain a hair and thus can be destroyed by the light. If you wax you will not get the optimal effect from the treatment.

Why do hairs "grow" after treatment?
Contrary to other treatments, hairs are not vaporised by a Pulsar treatment. The hair follicles are killed by the heat but the hairs remain in the skin and often become attached to the epidermis. They will fall out in about three weeks as the epidermis is renewed and during this period it will seem that the hairs are growing.

How many treatments are necessary?
Only hair in the growth phase can be treated. The number of hairs in this phase varies from 10 to 70% at any one time. The lengths of growth cycles also vary. Clients should allow up to a year with approximately 8 treatments to achieve the level of reduction they want.

"I would highly recommend Revival for laser (IPL) hair removal treatment. I had an initial consultation and patch test with Emer who is always so professional, knowledgeable and fun! She talked me through the process and answered any questions or concerns I had. I have had three sessions so far and I could see instant results after only one session. 90% of the hair has gone and has not come back. The procedure itself is almost painless. I couldn't imagine going back to waxing. I wouldn't go anywhere else for this or any other beauty treatments!".
